IF by some chance you are not singing Madonna’s “Holiday” song by now, please tune your internal radio station to the ’80’s hits’ and restart reading this blog. Because that’s the feeling I’m going for. And it rocks.
“…it would be so nice…”
I remember this one ‘meet and greet’ I participated in with an old work group. In a few quotes and mindless chatter, we were supposed to be able to have a pretty good picture of our co-workers so we could bond in the most fantastic corporate way. A little on the cheesy side, with just a dash of “am I back in junior high?”, but cute. With due diligence I answered what was asked. As we presented ourselves to the group, I realized I was the only one who did not have a black and white answer in the “favorite music” category. Shame on me. Do people really only listen to one type of music? Bleh, how pitiful. Since I am a distant cousin of shock jocks, I boldly answered, “depends on my mood”.
Such a rebel.
I think as varied as I am in my taste in music, I do my best to stand true to myself. I’m eclectic at the very least…with most everything. Oddly enough, this doesn’t bother me, but it surprises the hell out of a lot of people. Which surprises the hell out of me.
Is this non-eclectic lifestyle and ideas where people get stumped as to how to fully enjoy themselves and life? Or are the ideals of the multi-faceted to airy to ground fully into reality?
Psht. Who knows? Potato, Potatoe. No one is really correct. But are you ok with that?
If not, I suggest that you ask yourself why? (I just love that question) Maybe the answer will help you lead a more open and loving life? Maybe the answer will give you your “aha” moment (or a slinky down the stairs of multiple aha’s).
Whatever it evokes in you, please explore more. The answer is rarely in the destination, but along the nooks and crannies of the journey. If you decide it would be helpful to have a guide for your journey, call me. I’m good like that.
“…it’s time for the good times..”
